So now my serial number indicates it was made after 2000 but it also indicates it was made by U.S. Repeating Arms Company and that company went out of business in 1989. One comment said it was not made by Winchester and I went and looked up the U.S. I have a Winchester 94AE with a serial number of 6477560 and have read a lot of comments and got totally confused.
